How does the photo shoot work?
Preparation

• THE ASSIGNMENT (BRIEF)
   

  3 weeks before the photo shoot

  We will meet with you so that you can tell us what you want. We want to know as much as possible about your corporate strategy and about the products that you want to shoot. We are interested in every detail. We will then create a design that will perfectly present your place of business, dishes, or drinks, and will earn you money.

• DEVELOPING A CONCEPT
   

  3 weeks before the photo shoot

  Our creative directors will meet and brainstorm the best way for you to reach your target audience. Are they vegetarians? Raw food enthusiasts, or steak lovers? Our goal is to shoot pictures to which your target audience will relate. Do you like our design? Then let's go!

• PHOTO SHOOT SCRIPT AND CALCULATION

  3 weeks before the photo shoot

  We will incorporate any comments or wishes you may have into the final photo production script. This then forms the basis of our budget calculation. We will submit both to you before the photo shoot for approval. And then the preparations can begin in full swing.

• MODEL SCOUTING

  1-2 weeks before the photo shoot

  If you wish to shoot photos with models and not actual guests, we will contact the modelling agencies, organise a casting call, and choose suitable model types. They must fit the chosen concept and, at the same time, be good actors.

• PREPARING THE STYLING

  1-2 weeks before the photo shoot

  The stylist is off to the stores and borrows suitable clothing, footwear, and accessories for all of the models. Everything must work well together and suit the role.

• SEARCHING FOR A LOCATION

  1-2 weeks before the photo shoot

  The decorative stylist searches for suitable props. Pans, plates, bowls, spoons, tablecloths, and floral decorations. You probably have many of these things at your place of business, but you often have to replenish supplies, which is why we will bring any additional props.

D Day: the photo shoot

• FOOD STYLING, STYLING,
  MAKE-UP

  Several people pretty up the models or your team. They apply makeup, style hair, and clothing. The food, however, is the most important. Making sure the ice cream doesn't melt, the foam doesn't dissipate, and everything keeps looking fresh – that's the job of the food stylists. They use a wide variety of tricks to this aim.

• PRODUCTION
  
  

  The production staff have their hands full. They have to make sure that everyone and everything is in place, the area is perfectly prepared, and they keep to the script. They watch the schedule and the budget. They make sure that everyone feels great about the photo shoot and that nothing is missing.

• THE PHOTOGRAPHER
  
  

  The photographer and assistant set up the lighting and look for the best composition. They keep to the script, but thanks to their creativity and experience with a specialisation in food photography, the resulting images will make your mouths water.

After the photo shoot

• CHOOSING PHOTOS
   

  The day after the photo shoot

  We often select from several thousand photographs, and the best ones are then handed over to the retoucher for editing. We know from experience that choosing the right photograph is often just as complex as taking the picture itself.

• POST-PRODUCTION AND RETOUCHING

  2-5 days after the photo shoot

  Our retouchers can do just about anything. They sit for hours behind the computer monitor to add freshness to your products, smooth people's wrinkles, or eliminate any distracting imperfections in the image.

• DELIVERING THE IMAGES
   

  One week after the photo shoot

  We send you a preview of the retouched photographs. As soon as you approve their final appearance, we will send them to you in full resolution. You can choose your method of delivery: over an ftp server, or on a DVD.
